Todd Lefko is the President of the International Business Development Council, an import-export firm, with homes in Minnesota and Moscow, Russia. His weekly articles appear in Rossiyskie Vesti, a Russian political newspaper. He is also a contributor to Rusia al-Yaum, Russia’s Arabic-language Television channel for the Middle East.

He has worked in Russia for over twenty-one years. He has taught urban affairs and sociology at the University of Minnesota, and political science, international relations, political philosophy, political campaign management, leadership, organizational development and public administration at other Minnesota colleges.

He has lectured at universities in Russia, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. He has an MA in Public Administration and coursework for his PhD from the University of Minnesota, and has also studied public policy, as a Bush Fellow at Harvard, and Urban Planning at the University of Manchester, England. As one of the Founders, and current Treasurer of Global Volunteers, he has worked in villages in Jamaica, Mexico and Guatemala, and is their representative at the United Nations.  

Todd has also been a member of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Council, the Regional Transit Board, and the Minnesota Experimental City Authority.
